Split Tunneling VPN
The Cisco VPN supports split tunneling which is the functionality for the user to go to an Internet site when in session i.e. connected to the gateway VPN appliance. This functionality is not supported by the IBM (WECM) VPN meaning while actively connected to the gateway appliance the user CANNOT establish any IP connectivity to an Internet website. If split tunneling is a requirement then order the Cisco VPN.
At this time Windows Vista is not a supported Operating System for the VPN Client Software. Testing is currently underway. Client support for Windows Vista will be available dependent upon successful completion of testing between the VPN Client software and Windows Vista. Availability Date: To Be Determined.
Review the DMS Split Tunneling Policy.
