Purpose and Effect: The proposed rule provides the requirements for sworn invoices submitted by or on behalf of wireless service providers.

Status: Notice of Development of Rulemaking
Purpose and Effect: The requirements and approval process for the Rural County Program are provided. It amended the application form, provided eligibility requirements, dates of grant cycles, and the specific terms and conditions of the grant request and approval process.
The E911 Rural County Grant program is a semi-annual grant program provided for the purpose of assisting rural counties, as defined by Section 365.172(3)(y), F.S., with the installation and maintenance of an Enhanced 911 (E911) system.

Purpose and Effect: The purpose of the development is to set forth the procedural requirements for submitting and reporting the E911 fees including E911 fees remittance submitted by or on behalf of Prepaid Wireless Service Providers required by Section 365.172, FS.

Status: Notice of Development of Rulemaking
Purpose and Effect: The purpose and effect is to establish rules and requirements for a new emergency grant program. The E911 Emergency Grant program is a grant program establishing an expedited schedule for approval of grants, provided to assist counties with the emergency restoration of Enhanced 911 throughout the State of Florida resulting from natural and man-made disasters or events.

60FF-5.006:Requirements for County Carry Forward Funds and Excess Funding
Status: Notice of Development of Rulemaking
Purpose and Effect: The purpose of the development is to set forth the procedural requirements for counties with the ability to carry forward funding for E911 capital outlay, capital improvements, or equipment replacement expenditures. The excess recovery provision provides a 20 percent limitation on the total E911 fee revenue retained during a calendar year as carry forward. Any overage not utilized by the County for allowable E911 expenditures shall be returned to the E911 Board in accordance with this rule.

Status: Notices of Development of Proposed Rules
Purpose and Effect: To consider development of a new rule chapter establishing requirements and procedures for a cohesive statewide emergency communications number "Enhanced 911" plan for E911 services provided by the Department of Management Services to define requirements for the state's counties to provide citizens with rapid direct access to public safety agencies by accessing "911" with the objective of reducing the response time to situations requiring law enforcement, fire, medical, rescue, and other emergency services.
