Programs and Initiatives
The Office of Supplier Diversity's primary mission is to serve as a catalyst for minority, women and service-disabled veteran businesses seeking the opportunity to do business with the State of Florida. Moreover, OSD offers several support programs and initiatives to support its mission and objectives. You can access information on the Mentor Protégé Program, Loan Mobilization Program, OSD 2010 Plan, and newly created OSD Internship Program.
The State of Florida Mentor Protégé Program pairs minority, women and service-disabled veteran businesses enterprises with corporations. The goal of this program is to contribute to Florida's economic growth by increasing opportunities, developing joint ventures and providing Florida's minority, women and service-disabled veteran businesse enterprises the necessary tools for success. The Loan Mobilization Program is designed to assist certified minority and women-owned business enterprises in obtaining financial resources when starting a start funded project.
