OFFICE OF SUPPLIER DIVERSITY TEAMS WITH FLORIDA PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION TO BENEFIT MINORITY BUSINESSES
TALLAHASSEE – State of Florida Department of Management Services Office of Supplier Diversity (OSD) and the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) invite minority and women businesses to attend the first annual Big Bend MatchMaker. This year’s theme is Energizing Supplier Diversity through Communication: A Utilities and Telecommunications Initiative.
PSC Chairman Matthew M. Carter II will open the program. Tony Garcia, director of DMS departmental purchasing, will speak about doing business with the state, and a panel of OSD, PSC and PSC-regulated company representatives will discuss economic opportunities for women and minority business enterprises in the utilities and telecommunications industries. The afternoon includes one-on-one sessions to connect vendors with buyers.
