On Wednesday, Torey Alston, Executive Director for the Office of Supplier Diversity addressed the National Minority Chamber of Commerce in Miami. Mr. Alston discussed contracting opportunities with state government and how to navigate the process. On Thursday, Alston attended the Florida Minority Supplier Development Council Conference and Trade Fair in Orlando. Mr. Alston gave an update on new initiatives including 2 year recertification process and joint certification agreements.
