2006
The 2006 MatchMaker Conference and Trade Fair was an overwhelming success and stood strong as Florida's signature event for minority/women business entrepreneurs. MatchMaker 2006 provided a forum for minority businesses, state purchasing officers and private industry to share ideas and develop business partnerships.
Highlights and accomplishments of the 2006 MatchMaker Conference and Trade Fair included:
- The attendance of over 1,500 minority/women business entrepreneurs.
- One hundred seventy five (175) exhibitors/booths on the trade fair floor.
- Over 2,500 One-on-One appointments conducted during the trade fair, representing more than 60 state agencies, city and county governments, water management districts, private sector corporations, hospital and school districts.
- Trudy Bourgeois, nationally known keynote speaker, addressed the conference.
- The participation of Florida's Black Caucus, Florida's Front Porch Communities, Florida Association of Minority Business Enterprise Officials and Hispanic Chambers of Commerce.
- A networking golf tournament and various networking reception opportunities.
- The Governor's MWBE Awards Luncheon.
