Timothy Yandell

Tim Yandell began his business career in 1974 with Nissan Motor Corporation as a trainer in the corporate sales office in Norfolk, Virginia following undergraduate studies at Western Kentucky University where he majored in Sociology and Psychology.
During his time at Nissan Motors, he advanced through several promotions at the National Office in Los Angeles, and was eventually named as the Regional Marketing Manager for the Los Angeles Zone. After leaving Nissan, he accepted a position as Assistant to the President of the Dah Chong Hong Trading Corporation, a corporate subsidiary of the Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank. In that position, he worked internationally, acquiring real estate for the company as well as starting, staffing and managing several large retail automotive dealerships.
During his career at Dah Chong Hong, he became interested in computers and eventually left to found his first software development company. In 1986, while still operating his own software company, he joined the 3Com Corporation, eventually managing their entire southeast operations. He left 3Com in 1991 after purchasing the Florida operations division of Atlanta Technologies which was supporting the Space Shuttle’s payload management system.
The company was renamed as The Network Group in 1992, focusing on software and hardware computer support solutions. In 1994, the company established an outbound business process engineering practice serving the financial, retail and manufacturing industry sectors. In 1996, inetUSA, an Internet marketing and software development organization, was created as a subsidiary of the company. Today, inetUSA supports several thousand customers worldwide and operates as a rather unique completely virtual company where all employees telecommute from home and handle the majority of their communications electronically.
Tim has served on Brevard County’s Workforce Board for many years and currently serves as Chairperson for the Business Development Subcommittee of this board and as a member of its Executive Committee. He is a staunch believer in free enterprise and in programs that are designed to help people who are willing to work diligently to better their circumstances. He looks forward to his role on this council as one where funding stewardship is carefully managed and positive results are monitored and delivered.
Tim lives in Rockledge and has three children, Scott, Alyssa & Lyndsay who attend West Shore Junior & Senior High School in Melbourne.
