On July 26, 2007, Governor Charlie Crist signed Executive Order 07-148, creating the Governor's Commission on Disabilities. Then in 2008, the Governor signed Executive Order 08-193 extending the Governor's Commission on Disabilities.
The Governor's Commission on Disabilities acts as a policy advising body, collecting, analyzing, advocating, and advising on issues involving persons with disabilities.
The Clearinghouse on Disability Information serves as an information and referral source connecting people with disabilities and advocated of people with disabilities to the resources they need that will assist with their issues.
