UPDATED: Voice Mail Migration Information for Affected Customers

In a continuing effort to provide our customers with the best products and services, the Department of Management Services (DMS) announces an upcoming voice mail modernization for all customers that currently use the State of Florida’s Centrex Local Service, where EMBARQTM is the service provider for their telecommunications needs. This modernization is a partnership between DMS and EMBARQTM to upgrade and enhance their messaging services.
This improved voice mail system provides more functionality without increasing costs. This initiative will take place in phases, with each city/area being migrated individually.
The anticipated schedule for the rollout of the updated system is:

The Department of Management Services is working in conjunction with its partner EMBARQTM to ensure that all affected agencies are properly notified of the initiative and are prepared accordingly. Each employee will receive a message on their individual voice mail reminding them 21 days out from the date of their messaging service change, and then again the day before the change takes place.
***Please be advised, all customers that have their own premise-based voice mail systems will not be affected by this initiative and will continue to utilize their voice mail as they have before.***
***Also, 30 days out from the date of each individual area migration, any new phone line requests that come in after those 30 days will be placed on the new voice mail platform.***
