| FRS Bulletin: Once or twice a year, the Division of Retirement distributes this newsletter to active members of the FRS Pension Plan to keep members informed of retirement legislation, benefit provisions, and other retirement-related news of interest. Current issues are listed below: |

The Fall 2009 issue contains an article on the 2009 Retirement Legislation and information about our Online Services and how to get started using the many features available through our secure Web environment. The issue also includes articles concerning Member Annual Statements, how you can help us reduce costs and save resources, and information on how to keep your mailing address current. Division contact information is also provided. Finally, the newsletter provides charts showing the distribution of FRS Trust Fund investments and FRS membership by employer groups. |

The Winter 2008 issue contains an article on the 2008 Retirement Legislation, plus a message from the Secretary of the Department of Management Services, Linda H. South. The issue also includes articles concerning Member Annual Statements, the total assets and liabilities of the FRS, and information on the enhancement of our Online Services and how to get started using the many features available through our secure Web environment. Finally, the newsletter provides Division contact information and a chart showing the total FRS membership by employer group. |

The July 2009 issue contains information about the major changes made during the 2009 Legislative Session. There is also an article about the Online Services feature of our Web site, including how to establish your User Profile. Reminders are included about the cost-of-living adjustment payable with your July benefit, and the remaining 2009 benefit payment schedule along with the first half of the 2010 benefit payment schedule. Other brief articles discuss the Health Insurance Subsidy, changes to your benefit statements, and new tax rules that may affect your tax withholding |

The January 2009 issue contains information about enhancement of the Online Services feature of our Web site. The 2008 benefit payment schedule and a description of the IRS 1099-R tax information forms mailed to retirees in January is included. Related information is provided regarding the retiree annual statement and the Health Insurance Subsidy. There is a Message from the Secretary on the continued changes in the financial markets. Other brief articles provide Division contact information and tax exclusion information for retired public safety officers |
