Employer Training Seminars
| The Division of Retirement offers training seminars at the Division's offices located at 1317 Winewood Blvd., Tallahassee, Florida for all participating agencies. These seminars provide an opportunity for the Division of Retirement staff to present an overview of their area's functions and processes that involve your agency's personnel. This training provides attendees a better understanding of the Florida Retirement System and the coordination of agency responsibilities with the Division of Retirement. |

| The dates for the 2010 training seminars are listed below. There is no registration fee for the seminar; so the only cost to your agency would be travel and meal expenses. |

| Seminars will begin at 8:30 am on the days shown above. Individual sessions during the seminar are planned to last one hour with a lunch break between the third and fourth session. |

| When you arrive for the seminar, there will be signs indicating the direction to Building 4 where the seminars are held. Visitor parking is available in the parking garage adjacent to Building 4. The Web site www.mapquest.com can provide detailed driving instructions if needed. |
| Listed below are some hotels which are a short distance from the Winewood complex in case your employees attending a training seminar need overnight accommodations. You may wish to call these hotels to get their current government rate. |

| Reservations for the seminar should be made at least 30 days prior to the desired seminar date. If your reservation request is received less than 30 days in advance of the desired seminar date, you will be accommodated on a space available basis. Your agency may find it beneficial to have at least one representative from each of your personnel and payroll areas attend. There is no limit on the number of employees that you may send to training seminars. |
| Please provide the names, telephone numbers, and email addresses of attendees so we can develop informational packets for each seminar. If we do not have enough participation for a specific seminar or we reach our capacity for attendance, we may need to contact your employees so an alternate seminar can be selected. |
| On each Friday after the FRS Pension Plan training seminars there will be an FRS Investment Plan Employer Training Workshop from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. conducted by the State Board of Administration. If you are interested in registering for the Investment Plan workshop you should call the toll-free FRS Employer Assistance Line (866-377-2121, Option 1), and ask for either Chris Winter or Christie Petrosi. |
