How Donations Are Distributed
Designated giving is encouraged. You have the choice of designating specific agencies or umbrella groups to receive your gift. This way, you can be assured that not one penny of your money will go to support an organization or a cause you would not choose to support. All undesignated contributions will be distributed by your Local State Employee Steering Committee. Designations to United Ways, America's Charities, Earth Share, Neighbor to Nation, Independent Charities of America, Global Impact and Community Health Charities of Florida are provided to their respective umbrella groups for distribution. Designated gifts to the unaffiliated/independent organizations will be transmitted directly from the local Fiscal Agent. All contributions are subject to an administrative charge covering campaign and year-round costs.
Payroll deductions will begin the first pay period in January and will be discontinued automatically after the last pay period in December of each year. The minimum deduction amount is $2.00 per pay period if paid monthly or $1.00 per pay period if paid bi-weekly. If you wish to give less, you are encouraged to make a one-time donation of cash or make checks payable to the Florida State Employees' Charitable Campaign or FSECC.
County Codes Listing
Designations to a county other than the county in which you work will be for the total annual pledge, will be transmitted to the United Way that serves that county, and distributed as undesignated funds by the Local FSECC Steering Committee. If you choose this county designation option, no further agency designations from the brochure can be made.
