Who Can Participate?

  • State employees' children or dependents, legally adopted children, stepchildren or any other children for whom the employee has established legal guardianship, pursuant to Chapter 744, Florida Statutes, or comparable statutes. Employees are defined as full-time or part-time state officers or employees of any branch of state government holding salaried positions. State OPS employees are also eligible to enroll their children on a space-available basis.
  • Primary emphasis for child care services shall be given to children who are not subject to compulsory school attendance pursuant to Chapter 232, Florida Statutes, and where possible, to children aged two and under.
  • There will be a fee charged for the child care services. Check with individual child care centers for fees.
  • State employees who terminate employment with state government shall be afforded a 45-day grace period for securing other child care services
