Follow these step-by-step instructions to install the new (v5.1.1.2b) client software. |
|
|
1. Uninstall a Previous Version of the Wireless VPN Client (v5.1 or below) |
|
|
A. Go to "Control Panel" |
|
|
B. Select "Add or Remove Programs" |
|
|
C. Highlight "IBM Mobility Client" |
|
|
D. Click on "Change/Remove" |
|
|
2. Install the New Version of the Wireless VPN Client |
|
|
A. Click "StateofFloridaVPNClient-v3.5" shown above |
|
|
B. Follow the instructions contained in "VPN-Client-Install-Guide" shown above |
|
|
3. Enable a "Trusted Site" |
|
|
A. Open Internet Explorer |
|
|
B. Choose "Internet Options" from the Tools menu |
|
|
C. Switch to the "Security" tab |
|
|
D. Click on "Trusted Sites" |
|
|
E. Click the "Sites" button to add a site to the Trusted Sites list |
|
|
F. Enter https://certificate.hcs.net as the site to add to the zone (enable the check box "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone) |
|
|
G. Click "Add" (the site should now be added to the list of trusted sites) |
|
|
H. Click "OK" (Trusted Sites) |
|
|
I. Click "OK" (Internet Options) |
|
|
4. Install your Digital Certificate |
|
|
A. Download Digital Certificate [here] |
|
|
B. Request a WECM certificate |
|
|
C. Verify identity by entering WECM account credentials |
|
|
D. Choose certificate password |
|
|
E. Download new certificate |
|
|
5. Use the Wireless VPN Client and Digital Certificate |
|
|
A. Start the Wireless VPN (WECM) client |
|
|
B. Select the appropriate connection |
|
|
C. Enter User Name and Password credentials |
|
|
D. Select the Certificate file |
|
|
E. Enter the Certificate password |
|
|
F. Complete the connection |
