The original core structure of Florida's Historic Capitol was built in 1845 as a three story building. The building was 151 feet long and 51 feet wide with both the exterior and interior walls made of brick. At that time both the front and rear porticos displayed the six Doric columns that are thirteen feet in circumference and thirty-four feet in height. |
