Florida E911 Plan
DMS Communications and Information Technology Services (CITS) maintains responsibility for coordinating and updating the Emergency Telephone Number 911 Plan for the State of Florida. CITS is guided by Florida Statutes 365.171-175, the State of Florida, Emergency Telephone Number 911 Plan, and precedent established over the years since the 911 statute was originally passed in 1974.
The new Emergency Communication E911 State Plan is under development and scheduled to be posted in the 1st quarter of 2008.
