Title: Disposable Plastic Can Liners

 

The following notice is issued regarding Calico Industries, Inc.:

 

  • JR Plastics, a major manufacturer that supplies Calico Industries is located in Ocala, Florida. This manufacturer has issued a force majeure letter to Calico indicating that as a result of Hurricane Frances they will not be able to supply linear low density (LLD) can liners, in sufficient quantity to meet state needs, until approximately the end of the year.
  • We recommend that, until further notice, where the contract indicates JR Plastics as the manufacturer you should order LLD can liners from the other contractors listed.
  • If you have open purchase orders out to Calico, we recommend that you contact them immediately to determine if they will be able to fill the order, and if not, take action necessary to maintain your needed supplies.

 

Any questions or problems in delivery or service that may arise regarding this contract should be directed to the Contract Administrator.
