INTENDED USE:

USED PRIMARILY FOR DITCH CLEANING AND EXCAVATING APPLICATIONS.

Diesel engine, liquid cooled, with a minimum of 210 Gross HP (per the latest issue of SAE J1349), and a minimum displacement of 8.3L.

Minimum 100 amp 12-volt alternator.

B.

Battery to have a minimum total of 1150 CCA @ 0 degrees F.

   

TRANSMISSION:

Direct drive manual transmission, ten forward speeds, minimum. Fuller RT 8908LL or approved equivalent. Minimum 14 inch diameter two-plate clutch.

   

TRANSFER CASE:

Transfer case with cab-control front axle declutch.

   

AXLES & SUSP.:

 

A.

Steel front drive axle and suspension, minimum 16,000 lb. GAWR.

B.

Single speed, tandem drive rear axle with a driver controlled inter-axle and differential lock, minimum 40,000 lb. GAWR. Rear suspension must have minimum 54 inch steel walking beams.

 

NOTE: The rear axle ratio is to be selected by the Contractor in accordance with the engine and transmission provided. A ratio that will provide the maximum possible reduction as well as a minimum top speed of 55 MPH on a level grade.

At a minimum, the Manufacturer’s standard warranty for state and municipalities shall be provided. A copy of the warranty shall be provided with the bid.
