SUBJECT: Contract No. 680-850-05-1

Title: Body Armor (Protective Vests)

In accordance with Contract Section 5.16, (New Products/Revised Price Lists), changes for seven of the twelve contractors have been approved. A summary of the changes are listed below and specific product, pricing and contact information changes can be located in the appropriate section and vendor listing on the Body Armor State Term Contract main webpage.

  • American Body Armor (ABA) and Safariland, Inc. These companies, a part of Armor Holdings were acquired by BAE Systems, Inc. Revised Ordering Instructions can be located on page 3 of the Product/Price/Contractor Information page. They have also revised some products and prices, and offered an overall net decrease in prices for 2008.
  • Protech Armored Products (Protech). This company is also a part of Armor Holdings/BAE Systems, Inc. The only change is revised contact information on page 3 of their information page.
  • GatorHawk/Sentry Armor, Inc. GatorHawk Armor was acquired by Sentry Armor in 2007. Their contact information has been updated, but they are still doing business under the name of GatorHawk Armor. They have changes to their product lines, but also have a net price decrease for products carried forward.
  • Law Enforcement Supply Co. (LES; Second Chance Body Armor). Significant product adjustments were made to the Second Chance product line. Since most agencies purchase the three “Florida Value Packages”, (Monarch 329, T2 and Summit), negotiations insured that there will be no price increases for these packages.
  • Point Blank Body Armor and PACA Body Armor. Some minor product and pricing adjustments were approved for these contractors.
