Florida Climate Friendly Preferred Products List

To increase the visibility and purchase of environmentally preferable products (EPPs) that are available on current Florida State Term Contracts, this Excel document lists over 10,000 products that current state term contract vendors have indicated meet one or more of the Florida approved green product labels / standards.

Business Incentives / Discounts / Buybacks

These agreements and programs are available for State Agencies and other Florida governmental entities for the purpose of providing business incentives in the form of discounts, buybacks or credits toward future purchases. They contain certain qualifying criteria and may not be available to all governments in Florida.

State Term Contracts

Use of State Term Contracts is mandatory for state agencies, in accordance with s. 287.056 Florida Statutes. Exceptions to mandatory usage are set forth in Rule 60A-1.044, Florida Administrative Code. Other eligible users of State Term Contracts include those local government entities identified in Rule 60A-1.005, FAC.

State Purchasing Agreements

The Agreements Listed Are Optional Use And Limited To Expenditures Not To Exceed Category 2 ($25,000). See Terms And Conditions.

Alternate Contract Source

Alternate Contract Sources for commodities and services are available for purchase by state agencies, in accordance with rule 60A-1.047, FAC. Purchase from these alternate contract sources by political subdivisions (cities, counties, school boards, etc.) cannot be approved or disapproved by the Dept of Management Services, but is dependent upon local ordinances and regulations governing procurement.

The Department is authorized by Section 287.042(16), F.S., to evaluate contracts and, when determined in writing to be cost-effective and in the best interest of the State, to approve such contracts for use by other entities.

Rule 60A-1.047, F.A.C., provides a procedure for agencies to request the Department's review of a potential alternate contract source. The Department may approve such contract for use by an individual agency, or may approve its use for all agencies. In addition, the Department may independently identify alternate contracts.

RESPECT

RESPECT products and services are available for purchase by state agencies, as required by s. 413.036, FS. Exceptions require justification. The method of purchase from these RESPECT price lists by political subdivisions (cities, counties, school boards, etc.) is dependent upon local ordinances and regulations governing procurement.

PRIDE

PRIDE price agreement commodities and services are available for purchase by state agencies without competitive bid, but purchase of these commodities and services is not mandatory ( 946.515 Florida Statutes) unless they are certified. The method of purchase from these PRIDE price lists by political subdivisions (cities, counties, school boards, etc.) is dependent upon local ordinances and regulations governing procurement.

Insurance Coverage Program

The Insurance Coverage Program is a collection of DMS-administered insurance policies that protect against risk not covered by the State Risk Management Trust Fund, and is available for participation by state agencies and other eligible users.
