Florida Emergency Purchasing Network (FEPN)
The FEPN project will:
- Solicit public purchasing professionals to volunteer for extra duty during declared emergencies
- Obtain from volunteers a record (buyer data sheet) to include emergency and off-hours contact information, availability to work at the State Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in Tallahassee, county EOCs, and/or from their own office or home, and their qualifications and expertise
- Organize the delivery of specialized training through the Division of Emergency Management
- Issue a certificate to purchasing volunteers as members of the Florida Emergency Purchasing Network
- Collect and organize the FEPN information and make it accessible to emergency logistics officials requiring procurement assistance during emergency operations.
