Revised Products and Pricing on Body Armor State Term Contract

NOTE: IN ADDITION TO THE CHANGES BELOW, SAFARILAND HAS SUBMITTED CHANGES TO THEIR 2008 PRODUCT AND PRICE LISTS. THE CONTRACT LINK HAS BEEN UPDATED AS OF 3/27/08 TO UPDATE THIS LISTING.

Several changes to products, prices and vendor contact information have been made in Contract Memorandum # 12. Specific details can be found under each contractor's PDF file located at the Body Armor State Term Contract webpage at: http://dms.myflorida.com/business_operations/state_purchasing/vendor_information/state_contracts_agreements_and_price_lists/state_term_contracts/body_armor_protective_vests

Highlights are bulleted below:

• American Body Armor (ABA). This company, a part of Armor Holdings was acquired by BAE Systems, Inc. Revised Ordering Instructions can be located on page 3 of the ABA Product/Price/Contractor Information page. ABA has also revised some products and prices, and offered an overall net decrease in prices for 2008.

• Protech Armored Products (Protech) and Safariland, Inc. These companies are also a part of Armor Holdings/BAE Systems, Inc. The only changes are revised contact information on page 3 of each contractor’s information page.

• GatorHawk/Sentry Armor, Inc. GatorHawk Armor was acquired by Sentry Armor in 2007. Their contact information has been updated, but they are still doing business under the name of GatorHawk Armor. They have changes to their product lines, but also have a net price decrease for products carried forward.

• Law Enforcement Supply Co. (LES; Second Chance Body Armor). Significant product adjustments were made to the Second Chance product line. Since most agencies purchase the three “Florida Value Packages”, (Monarch 329, T2 and Summit), negotiations insured that there will be no price increases for these packages.

• Point Blank Body Armor and PACA Body Armor. Some minor product and pricing adjustments were approved for these contractors.
