COVERED PROPERTY:

Electronic data processing equipment owned by the Insured and similar equipment of others in the Insured’s care, custody, and control.

Electronic media including converted data owned by the Insured and similar equipment of others in the Insured’s care, custody, and control.

Scientific and medical equipment owned by the Insured and similar equipment of others in the Insured’s care, custody, and control, subject to underwriting approval.

COVERED LOCATIONS:

Any Insured State Agency or University, other locations (temporarily), and while in transit.

LIMIT OF INSURANCE:

The value of covered equipment.

RATES:

Electronic data processing equipment and electronic media

REPORTING:

Covered property must be reported quarterly; reporting provisions are outlined in the EDPE reporting form. Each participant is responsible for ensuring that the figure reported represents the total insurable value of its covered property.

COVERAGE:

Non-owned items are covered against “all risks” of direct physical loss (including computer viruses), except as excluded. Owned items are covered against limited perils not covered by the State Risk Management Trust Fund. (For additional information, please see your agency’s Insurance Coordinator for a copy of the insurance policy.)

CLAIM CONDITIONS:

Claims must be filed within 90 days of discovery of loss. With each claim notification, you must provide both documentation to support the identified limit and proof that the equipment was included in the reported total insurable value.

This insurance is purchased and administered by the Department of Management Services, Division of State Purchasing. The outline of coverage shown above is provided as an overview; please refer to the insurance policy for specific information.
