Aircraft Operations
Aircraft Operations is responsible for the management of state-owned and operated aircraft. This includes operational and safety standards and assignment, use, and reporting policies and procedures. The service operates an Executive Aircraft Pool, consisting of one Cessna Citation Bravo and one King Air 350. The Executive Aircraft Pool is housed at a central aviation facility in Tallahassee. The Executive Aircraft Pool provides on-demand executive air transportation to the Governor, Cabinet Officers, and other high level officials and employees on a priority first call, first serve basis.
Our goal is to:
- Provide safe and efficient air transportation for state officials and employees and submit charges to user agencies for this service.
- Adopt and enforce rules and regulations that govern all state owned and operated aircraft, provide administrative and technical assistance, guidance and support.
- Maintain the executive aircraft in an airworthiness status, maintaining a high percentage of aircraft availability for flight assignments.
- Maintain the central aviation facility in the proper operating condition for aircraft maintenance, support and storage.
