Facilities Management
Facilities Management provides operation and maintenance services for 7.8 million gross square feet of state-owned buildings and serves as the state's operation and maintenance resource for state facilities. To assist state agencies in meeting their space needs, multiple tasks are performed that fulfill the requirements of Chapters 216, 255 and 272, of the Florida Statutes. This includes 35 facilities and their associated grounds in Tallahassee and 21 Regional Service Centers across the state. Tasks include coordinating the costs recovery leasing of over 5.9 million net square feet of space and the allocation of over 23,000 parking spaces to the various public agencies. Additionally this activity includes the oversight of over 8.4 million square feet of space leased from private industry providers and other governmental entities for state agencies. These services assist state agencies in performing their critical services by eliminating activities that are not part of their core services to the public.
